Once again the Mastodon zeitgeist leaves me behind. I liked the Apple ad in which art-making tools were squished in a hydraulic press to produce an iPad. It reminds one in a memorably graphic fashion of all the types of creative work that can be accomplished on the device, and the use of a press emphasizes the thinness of the device.
I don’t think the existence of iPads has led to fewer pursuing art, or that the ad is about disrespect to artists (to whom they want to sell iPads).
